Tribhuvan University Holds 49th Convocation Ceremony with Grandeur

In a celebration of academic achievement and excellence, Tribhuvan University (TU) is set to host its 49th convocation ceremony today at the iconic Dasharath Stadium in Tripureswor. The event promises to be a grand affair, with distinguished guests, including President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ gracing the occasion.

Yogendra Dhakal, the Information Officer of TU, expressed his excitement about the ceremony, stating that President Paudel will attend as the chief guest, adding prestige to the event. The presence of Prime Minister Prachanda, who also serves as TU’s Chancellor, further elevates the significance of this academic celebration.

According to Pushparaj Joshi, the Examination Controller at TU’s Examination Control Office, a total of 12,415 students are set to participate in this year’s convocation ceremony, showcasing the university’s continued commitment to fostering education and knowledge. This figure marks an increase from the 10,300 students who attended the convocation last year, indicating a growing trend in the recognition of TU’s academic prowess.

The ceremony is not only a platform for conferring degrees but also an opportunity to recognize and applaud exceptional academic performances. Various medals and awards will be distributed during the event, adding an extra layer of excitement for the graduating students and their families.
