During a recent cargo flight from Kathmandu to Solukhumbu, a Tara Air aircraft encountered an unexpected mid-flight incident. The event transpired on a Sunday as the cargo plane was en route from Kathmandu.
The incident involved the emergency door on the right side of the aircraft (9N-LOJ), where the windowpanes unexpectedly detached during the flight. The exact location of where the window was lost remains unknown.
At the time of the incident, only three members of the flight crew were on board the aircraft. In response to the situation, Tara Air has announced that the aircraft will undergo necessary maintenance and will return to Kathmandu once the required repairs have been completed.
