Doti, Nepal – A heart-wrenching incident unfolded as a jeep, bearing the registration number Ga 2 Cha 2776, en route from Dhangadhi in Kailali to Bajura, was involved in a fatal accident at Adewul along the K I Singh Highway. The accident resulted in the loss of four lives and left five others injured.

The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Radhika Malal from Bajura Himali Rural Municipality-5, 32-year-old Dhanashoba Budha, her 6-year-old son Kavinda Budha, and 8-month-old Prarthana Bhandari.

Nishanta Srivastav, the information officer at the District Police Office Doti, provided details of the tragic incident. The police have taken the jeep’s driver, 29-year-old Mahesh Budha from Bajura Gaumul Rural Municipality-4, into custody as part of their ongoing investigation.

The injured passengers have been admitted to Shaileshwari Hospital Pipalla in Doti for medical treatment. This devastating accident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while traveling on Nepal’s highways.
