In a distressing incident, a 27-year-old man from Biratnagar, identified as Nirdosh Sangraula of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-8 Madhumara, fell victim to an assault in Jogbani, India, on Sunday evening.
According to Morang Police Chief SP Deepak Pokharel, Sangraula, who sustained injuries in the incident, is currently undergoing treatment at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar, where he is being treated for a rash on his left thigh.
The unfortunate incident occurred near the Biratnagar-16 south gate, located along the Indian border, where an unidentified group shot at Sangraula. Reports suggest that he was returning from Jogbani in India after purchasing essential food items when he was subjected to verbal abuse.
Prompt intervention by the armed police resulted in Sangraula being rescued from the scene and subsequently transported to the hospital for medical attention. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault, and details regarding the motive behind the attack remain under scrutiny.
